Finally, it is time.

August is ending, which means that finally, after the agonizing 3 months long of waiting, it is time...

...to face the good, or the worst...
...to lend a shoulder to a friend who didn't make it...
...to put a stop to the mental and physical torture from waiting...
...to bade farewell to the maximum-utilised holidays...

It is time... for us to march into the office of our colleges to aswer to the shit we created 3 months ago in the stuffy, ill-equipped exam hall...

Oh, not all of us will have to face shit... Well, at least I think I'm one of the candidates who screwed up in the exam in Dewan Cheeseman in June. Hmm, maybe the thoughts of cheese was the main cause of my inability to concentrate during the exam. So now I have to prepare myself mentally and physically (hey, it's not easy to climb a flight of stairs when your legs are the size of KLCC twin tower!) to face my lovely lecturers, minus Saini, to take the results slip!!

I can picture it happenning... As I enter the IPG staff room, all eyes will be fixed on me as I dragged my feet into Saini's office. But my feet will feel as though someone had spread elephant glue on the soles of my shoes and they just won't move an inch... Somehow I managed to walk... Left...Right...Left...Right... until I stopped in front of Saini's desk when he hands me an A4 size paper with an irritating smirk on his Mr. Bean face. I grabbed the paper with my shaky hands, blink twice, takes in a gallon of air, and lower my eyes onto the paper. There, printed in black Times New Roman font, are the results of my Finals Part 1 exam... and...

Arrgghhh!!!!!

I'd prefer no to think about it because I know if I did, I will panic! But I can't help it! Last night I even dreamt of my results... which was impossible! In the dream I got 70, 70, 72 and 75! 75??!! Impossible... especially impossible after what I wrote for my last Evidence question... and my Land problem question...and.... Oh, I really don't want to think about it.

I know I have to be prepared for better, and also the worst.

My worries aside... TY got his results just yesterday. To me, he did pretty well!! He got 3 A's and 2 C's. Although he didn't seem to be happy about the C's, I was very very proud of him. In fact, if I got a C, I will be jumping until there's a hole in the ground.

We celebrated his good results at KFC. You must be thinking why KFC? Well, we're both kinda broke and I miss the potato wedges sooooooo much! But I didn't pay attention to the large wedges I ordered or even the spicy chicken lying on my plate calling out to me to eat them quick before they run away. From the moment we sat down until the moment I sipped the last drop of my Pepsi, I was adoring TY all the time.

Honestly, I never expect he would do so well for his studies now :P I admit he is smart, but very lazy too. During Form 5, he missed 80% of classes. While we were cursing Einstein's formulas in physics and the ammonia substance which smelt like fart during chemistry lessons, he was happily sleeping in his hostel dorm, or having his private physics lessons at the snooker centre or Add Maths lessons in his dorm while chor-dee-ing. When he sms-es me, I will know, it's time to lend my exercise books for him to copy so he can pass it up to the teachers. Hmm, maybe that's how we fell in love with each other. He barely knew how to answer 2 simple chemistry questions, but he's getting A's now.

Anyway, my point is, look at how much he has changed over four years!!.....err, hmm, maybe he didn't change at all :P (just look at his cheeky smile and his cunning face in the pic).

Once a womaniser, always a womaniser! Hey, now I see how did he get his A's!!

Wish I can get A's too.

20 Going On 21

Celebration with friends at Italianni's 1 Utama. Strangely, the restaurant was using TGI Friday's serviettes!

Celebration at home with family. My cousin (most left one) was also celebrating her 10th birthday, while it's my 21st... but my cake is 10 times smaller than hers sob sob... Got the KEY to freedom and independence - from my parents.

I am officially an adult and can enter the casino without fear of being asked for my IC for inspection by the officers there FINALLY! Haha.

What's my best gift for this birthday? Wonderful friends, family and warm wishes...

Here's the Wannabe's

Performed for the opening of the Rexona No Sweat Dance Challenge Finals yesterday at Orange Dance Club, KL. The event was suppose to start at 4pm but the event'sanagement so inefficient that it was delayed for about an hour! Yeah, it is always 'Malaysian time'.

We have to cancel our full dress rehearsal last minute and had to go on stage unprepared! To make matters worse, my team had never had a practice as a 4-member team together before! It was only yesterday that we, for the first time, danced together and got our positions on the dance floor right. Luckily, thanks to Lily, the choreography of our dance was good and we managed to do OK. THANKS LILY!! WE OWE YOU ONE BIG ONE!

Many turned up for the finals... my old school friends, some celebrity and Hitomi all the way from Penang! Too bad the schedule was hectic and we weren't allowed to take pictures during the event. But I managed to snap some :P

Me in my 'Rexona for men' T-shirt and my bf's jeans (hehe, had to wear baggy jeans) for the performance (too bad no 'for women' :( )
Me and Davina, one of my team mate, taking a nap after the tiring first rehearsal on the couch in the holding room (which was more like a panic room)

Orange Dance Club, KL. Took this photo upon reaching there at 11am. But we only went in at 11.45am!! hai...Malaysian time...

Me, Davina and Bernard (another dance team mate) in his pink cap (eugh! :P ) in full dress waiting for the full dress rehearsal which was unfortunately canceled.

Oops, this is a lil bit dark.. Davina, me, Bernard and Sharol ( I think that's how his name is speeled) after our performance in the 'panic room'.

The show was good. Dance Mania, the winners of the dance challenge were awesome! You guys can catch it on TV3 every Tuesday at 7pm beginning from 9th August! You must watch them dance! :)

Insensitive Crip

I hate make-up. It's a waste of time, energy, money and it makes me feel unnatural. To me, make-up is like plastic surgery.... like pasting a thick layer of sticky substance on your face and your facial movements will be restricted. This is what I think of make-up.

But why my bf never understands?

It hurts me every time he asks me to make-up. I thought he hasn't accpeted me for who I am and that he thinks I'm not pretty or beautiful enough compared to other girls. I did make-up once. And I told him I won't do it again unless there's a performance or a really formal occasion. Now, he's requesting it again...repeatedly!

When I told him how his requests made me feel, he said I think irrelevantly. Omigod!

My situation now is like the TLC song 'Unpretty'. I cried before I slept yesteday right by his side.... and he didn't realise. Insensitive crip!!

3 Accidents in 19 hours

Life can change in a split second....

Accident 1 :
This wasn't really my case... 12.ooam 21 July - When I was brushing my teeth preparing to go to bed, TY suddenly called out to me and asked me to finish my task. When I came out from the bath room...
Me: 'What happened?'
TY: 'My housemate's on his way back to pick us up. We're going to see an accident nearby.'
I was like 'huh?'
So we went in TY's housemate's car to the accident scene. On the way there, TY's housemate couldn't stop talking about how he saw it happened and how the Satria and the Evo spinned on the road and missed each other by inches and eventually hit the divider...bla bla bla....

The only thing on my mind on the journey was 'What's the thrill all about?'. I could see how TY andd his housemate was thrilled and excited about the accident but I really didn't the any sense in it.

After all the driving and exciting talk in the rain... when we reached the accident scene... both the Satria and the Evo had already left. Haha.

Accident 2:
6.00pm, 21 July - Had to attend a hiphop class in Sri Hartamas. Today TY didn't want to fetch me there. So I had to drive there myself. While reversing his car... I hit the side pillar. The left-rear signal light was smashed. Doomed!!

Accident 3:
6.30pm, 21 July - Upon reaching Sri Hartamas (after a painfully long journey...well, not literally long but because I was thinking about Accident 2 all the way the journey seemed longer than usual), I searched for a parking space right outside Plaza Damas. I saw a car about 20 meters behind came out. I immediately thought :"Free parking space!". I reversed... fast.... and BAM! (for the second time) ... the left-rear part of my car backed into another car....it was a......

.....Mercedes Benz S-Class!

I'm officially broke now :(

I can't wait...

Now I really wish I can fast-forward the time. All the advertisements and trailers are driving me nuts!! I can't wait to watch them...
  1. Harry Potter 4
  2. X-Men 3
  3. Spiderman 3
  4. Tim Burton's Corpse Bride
  5. Bill and Ted's Most Excellent Collection
  6. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
  7. The Chronicles of Narnia : The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
  8. Shrek 3
  9. Pirates of the Carribean : Dead Man's Chest
  10. Underworld : Evolution
  11. A Scanner Darkly
  12. Il Mare (hehe, Keanu Reeves' so irresistable)

Well, that's all I can think of for now. Oh ya! Fantastic Four...am watching it in 6 hours' time. Cant' wait!

Disappointing Standard

None except one got through yesterday... only Lee Chong Wei made it to the semi finals in the 2005 Malaysian Open. It is so sad and very very disappointing.

I watched badminton tournaments on TV since I was little. Yesterday I got the opportunity to watch it live in the Cheras KLBA hall with TY and several of his shuttler friends. It was crowded! The tickets were sold out. Luckily I had friends who have the players pass and we managed to sneaked in using those passes.

Watching the men's doubles lose isn't a big shock to me. I have expected them to lose somehow :P But watching them play against Indonesia and China only showed one thing... the standard of the national shuttlers had either been static or deteriorated. That is very disppointing.

Although the Indonesians didn't really improved, the Chinese shuttlers showed amazing improvements. What happen to Malaysia then? Sad to say, if they proceed with such standard, Malaysia will never bag the Thomas Cup again, not unless all the other Chinese and Danish shuttlers suddenly contract an incurable skin disease and pull out from the game :P

KKK, Bin Shen, Soon Hock... please train smarter! ( I know you guys are training hard)

I'm still waiting for the day where the Malaysian shuttlers can truly be world No. 1.

Flowers

Nothing to do at home..so I picked up the digital cam lying on the table, went outside my house and snapped a photo of the flowers that blosommed in the small garden. Aren't they one of the most beautiful things in the world?

There are so many types of flowers today...edible, designer, etc... some are also deadly!

I remembered the first time I received a bouquet of flowers was in August 3 years ago. It was blue roses...on me and Teng Yung's anniversary. I would like to think of it as something really sweet of him... but then again, he got my roommate's instruction to give me blue roses :(

I still have a dried leaf from this bouquet glued to my diary. Since then, I still receive flowers once in a blue moon. But none of the times I have received the flowers will be as memorable as the first time (although it's not so sweet after all). The feeling is inexplicable. Now, I'd rather get chocolates :P yeah...what a chocoholic I am!

Why I Quit Gymnastics

I did what I would do during every long holiday...I visited my old secondary school and the hall where the national gymnasts have their daily practice.

It's been 4 damn years since I last perform those stunts in that very same hall. When I watched the seniors (they were my juniors) perform their ribbon and clubs routines, I was amazed and captivated! I'm so proud of them. From splits to back bends, pivots to cart-wheels, they did it gracefully and neatly. In fact, they are better than the seniors 4 years ago (including me hehe).

Watching their beautiful movements brought me back to 4 years ago when I love this sport so much....and I wondered why did I choose to bid farewell with gymnastics. A few minutes later, i saw the team manager and a few other state judges walked into the Malaysian Sports Council and I finally remembered why...it was due to politics.

It is sad that politics have to exist anywhere...from the hostel to the training hall, the coaches, and the management of the national gymnastic squad. After the 2001 Sea Games in Kuala Lumpur, I had to decide whether to pursue my career in gymnastics or elsewhere.

Although I dislike the training a little (imagine having to run on the track 10 rounds under the hot 4pm sun just because you gained 100g!), the main factor that made me quit gymnastics was politics. It was really too much for me to handle and I grew so sick and tired of it. I could not face it anymore. In the end, I said goodbye to the sport that I have devoted 7 years of my life to, and the sport that I still love until today - gymnastics.

Well... there is still a gymnast in me... but practically speaking, I cannot start stretching and bending like how I used to do right now. For the love of gymnastics, I can still try something else related to it now... perhaps coaching and dancing? :)

Oh, by the way, did you know that there is actually men rhythmic gymnastics? I love watching them perform ;p

Gift-shopping

Have you ever had difficulties trying to get the most suitable gift for your family or friends for their birthdays? That was what I experienced today.

I have a birthday party to attend in 2 hours' time and I still haven't got a gift for my friend! Arrghhh!! I did try to find a gift for her. I window shopped from 1.30pm until 4.00pm and practically looked into every shop and corner in Atria, PJ (which is small, thank God!) but in the end, I only end up with a second hand book for my own reading during this holidays and a birthday card. Still no gift!! And I have only 1 hour and 45 minutes left to get one!

It's not that I don't want to get a gift for my friend. I do! But the problem is I just don;t know what to get her. I considered aromatherapy set, necklace, braceleet-watch, a blue top, handbag, scarf and even chocolates. It seems I have too many choices and in the end was unable to make one!

And then I realised it's so much easier to get a gift for a guy friend because the range of gifts are drastically narrower. So it'll be easier to make a decision on what to get for them compared to getting somethign for a girl friend. I'm a girl, and I find it difficult to get a gift for my own kind. Now I truly understand how guys felt when they have no idea what to get for a girl friend.

Then comes the next big headache...budget!

And lastly, people always worry about whether their friend will like the gift... What if I got the wrong gift? What if she didn'tlike the colour? What if she already has an identical handbag or scarf? ....Hmm....ok, I admit I'm a worry-wreck!

Omigod...exactly 90 minutes to get prepared n shop for the gift!

I have decided to go with the handbag...lets hope I don't have second thoughts!
